Jade

Jade is found in several different locations. Its name is derived from "piedra de ijada,” which means "stone of the flank," as Jade was originally thought to have kidney illness curing properties. Jade is a high-grade metamorphic rock that is highly valued in China and Korea. Jade is opaque and varies in its shade of green.

Jade connects with the heart chakra. It promotes self-confidence, self-sufficiency, and wisdom. Jade aids in mediation, helping one attain a deep meditative state. Jade may even release suppressed emotions during the dream state.
