Pyrite

Known as fool’s gold, Pyrite is a mineral that is found in many places, some of the most popular locations including Peru and Spain. Hence its nickname, Pyrite holds a close resemblance to gold due to its shiny, brass like appearance. Pyrite’s name originated from the Greek root words "pyr" for "fire” because sparks erupted from its surface when hit with another metal.
